Individual Therapy
I offer therapy sessions to individuals aged 18 or older, and charge $220 per 50 minute session (though a limited number of reduced fee spots are available).
Under the Medicare Better Access program, Medicare card holders with a Mental Health Care Plan are entitled to a rebate of $96.65 of their fee, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. With a rebate, the typical out of pocket expense for a session is $123.00.
To receive a rebate through Medicare, you must have a valid referral from a GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician. When you visit your doctor, make sure to have my name, address and phone number on hand.
You do not need a referral if you are paying privately or claiming a rebate through private health insurance.
ADHD Assessment and Support
I offer comprehensive ADHD assessment as part of my practice. This process can take between 3-4 sessions, and includes:
- • A diagnostic interview
- • Collecting a full developmental, mental health and medical history
- • Collecting reports from third parties (such as parents, siblings, housemates, friends or partners)
Please note additional fees will be charged, should you request a formal report detailing assessment results.
Note also that psychiatrists will likely conduct their own ADHD assessment before prescribing stimulant medication (the first line pharmacological option). If you know you would like to get started on medication, I recommend you book in with a psychiatrist for assessment in the first instance.
For ongoing support associated with an ADHD diagnosis, individual therapy sessions are available (see above for details).
